What would you need a 2meter ruler for? The new shaft is seated properly. You are gonna need some Tools that aint cheap. IF you don’t have all of those, you are not ready to do some Re-shafting by yourself.

Ream out the hosels with a wire drill reshafh, then cover the tip of the shaft and the inside of the hosel with epoxy. Once the head is removed clean out the bore as well as you can while the head is still hot.

Eliminate the remaining solvent and push the grips onto the shafts. Splunge26 0 Member Joined: Just in case if any modification had been done to the hosel, caliper the pulled the shaft tip to make sure it’s a tapered tip. Pour a little of the grip solvent inside each grip and be sure all surfaces are covered.
DIY Iron Reshaft Issue
I won’t go so far as to buy a shaft extractor, though I want to pick up a heat gun, of course. Grips were on the shafts when installed. They don’t feel as firmly installed as my stock iron sets. Cleaned the club heads to get old epoxy out. Luckily that part got cut off.
Personally on irons I resbaft used a torch because I’m resbaft and I wasn’t trying to save ferrules. Applied plenty of the GolfWorks Tour Set epoxy to the shaft and hosel. Down my toe line.
